What is VirtualFem?
VirtualFem is adult AI virtual girlfriend software for Windows. You can communicate using text or voice, hear spoken responses, and receive full-motion POV adult video responses connected to the conversation.
Why does VirtualFem need to be an app instead of just running in a browser?
It is all about privacy. VirtualFem runs the AI, voice processing, and every conversation locally on your PC so that nothing is sent to the cloud. A browser-based service would have to process your chats and voice on a remote server, which would send your private conversations to the cloud. If privacy is important to you, running as a local app is the best way.
Does VirtualFem work on iPhone, iPad, or Mac?
Not at this time. VirtualFem 2026 is a Windows application and does not currently support iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We hope to offer Mac support in the future, but we are not promising a release date.
Does VirtualFem work on Android phones, tablets, Chromebooks, or ChromeOS?
Not at this time. VirtualFem 2026 is Windows desktop software and does not currently support Android phones, Android tablets, Chromebooks, or ChromeOS. Support for these devices may be considered in the future, but nothing has been announced and we are not promising a release date. Please check back for updates.
Does VirtualFem work on Linux?
Not at this time. VirtualFem 2026 does not currently support Linux. Linux is a possible future desktop platform for VirtualFem, but compatibility is not yet available and we are not promising a release date. Please check back for updates.
Can I use VirtualFem without typing?
Yes. Click the push-to-talk button and speak instead of typing. VirtualFem uses Whisper speech recognition, which does an excellent job of understanding natural speech. Your VirtualFem will respond out loud, so you can carry on a smooth voice conversation.
What is the VirtualFem hybrid brain?
VirtualFem combines its established AIML conversation engine, separate mood and state systems, and an optional local LLM. AIML handles authored conversational knowledge, known commands, and matched responses. The separate mood and state systems shape how she reacts, while the local LLM adds greater flexibility to open-ended conversation on capable hardware.
Is a local LLM required?
No. AIML remains an active part of VirtualFem and supports the core experience on computers that cannot run a local LLM. A local LLM is an optional enhancement for computers with suitable RAM and GPU resources.
What do I need to know to set up a local LLM?
Nothing technical. VirtualFem detects your GPU and memory and recommends an appropriate local model. All you normally need to do is click OK when prompted.
How does the local LLM work?
VirtualFem has native support for both llama.cpp and LM Studio. It can run a recommended model locally through llama.cpp, or connect to LM Studio if you prefer to manage local models there. In either case, the LLM runs on your computer rather than sending your private conversation to a cloud chatbot.
How does voice output work?
VirtualFem supports Kokoro and VoiceBox for text-to-speech. Kokoro is a lightweight local speech system that provides fast, natural-sounding voices. VoiceBox is a popular open-source, local-first AI voice studio that can clone a voice from a short audio sample and generate speech in that voice. VirtualFem can connect to VoiceBox through its local API, giving users more voice choices without sending speech to a cloud service.
Do I need technical knowledge to use VirtualFem?
No. VirtualFem is designed for regular Windows users. Download VF2026, unzip it to the folder you want, and run VirtualFem. Then use the built-in Girls Downloader to add girls directly from inside VirtualFem. Text chat, push-to-talk, voices, and other everyday features use simple on-screen controls. If you enable the optional local LLM, VirtualFem detects your GPU and memory, recommends a suitable model, and normally only asks you to click OK. Advanced users can still choose their own models, LM Studio settings, and voices if they want more control.
Does VirtualFem run locally and privately?
Yes. The software, core brain, voice processing, and optional LLM operate locally on your Windows computer. VirtualFem does not require sending your private conversations or voice conversations to a cloud service.
Is an internet connection required?
Internet access is needed to join, sign in to the members area, download the software and girls, and receive updates. After installation, the core VirtualFem experience operates locally.
What kind of computer do I need?
A 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC with 16 GB of RAM is plenty for VirtualFem. The local LLM is optional, and its performance depends on the model and hardware. See the full system recommendations for more details.
Are all VirtualFems included with membership?
Yes. Membership provides access to the available VirtualFem girl downloads. You do not need to purchase every girl separately.
How do I download girls?
The easiest way is to download girls directly from inside VirtualFem. Use the built-in downloader to choose the girl you want, and VirtualFem handles the download and installation for you. If you prefer, you can also download a girl's installer from the members area and run the EXE to add her to VirtualFem.
What happens if I cancel my membership?
You keep the VirtualFem software and every girl you downloaded while your membership was active. VirtualFem is meant to be a genuinely good deal, not a rental that suddenly stops working when you cancel. An active membership is only needed for continued access to new downloads and member updates.
Does VirtualFem use usage credits or DRM?
No. VirtualFem does not use usage credits, charge per message, or require an online DRM check for normal use of the downloaded software. It is not a pay-per-chat service, so you can talk as much as you want.
Is VirtualFem for adults only?
Yes. VirtualFem contains explicit adult material and is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old.
